HENDERSON, Kentucky — The premier leadership program for professionals and aspiring community leaders in Henderson is accepting applications for its 16th class in 2025.
The nonprofit Henderson Leadership Initiative works to expand the circle of leadership throughout Henderson by identifying, nurturing, mentoring, training and placing a new generation of leaders within the organizational infrastructure of the community.
More than 200 HLI graduates, called Fellows, are now in senior leadership across the community in positions in business and industry, nonprofit organizations, education and the public sector.
The HLI Class of 2025 will begin with an overnight retreat in February 2025, followed by 10 half-day monthly classes in which participants are exposed to seasoned leaders and leadership methods. Each participant also contributes to a community betterment project to gain experience; develop team-building, problem-solving and fundraising skills, and enjoy a sense of accomplishment. Graduation will be conducted in January 2026.
Launched in 2007, HLI has graduated 14 classes, and its 15th class is ongoing.
“The Henderson Leadership Initiative firmly believes that development of emerging leaders must not be left to chance,” said HLI co-founder and Chairman Scott Davis, who is Chairman and CEO of Field & Main Bank. “We are eager to continue the process of developing our community’s emerging leaders.”
Tuition for 2025 will be $1,500, with other program costs supplemented by monthly sponsors and grants. Some partial scholarships are available for those with financial needs.
